    Sussex RCMP have arrested a 44-year-old Whites Mountain man in connection with firearms related offences. Police responded to a disturbance at a residence in Whites Mountain, near Cornhill, at around 1:00 a.m. on April 26, 2016 where it had been reported that a bullet had struck a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. When police arrived, a man inside the residence refused to leave the home. RCMP remained on scene until the man exited his home at approximately 9:00 a.m. He was arrested without incident. The investigation is continuing.

    The St. Stephen RCMP is investigating a suspicious fire in Honeydale, N.B. that occurred on April 24, 2016. At approximately 5:50 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious structure fire on Route 755. The residence, outbuildings, and a number of vehicles were completely destroyed in the fire. No one was inside at the time of the fire and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Anyone who may have seen people or vehicles in the area during the early morning hours on April 24, or has any information about this incident is asked to contact the St. Stephen detachment at 506-466-7030. Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at www.crimenb.ca, 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or by texting TIP202 + your message to 'CRIMES' (274637).
